The Paul G. Allen Research Center innovates through collaboration across the entire cancer continuum. Through research into cancer prevention, detection, and treatment, we are gaining a deeper understanding of cancer to develop new tools for patients that provide improved experiences on their path toward a cancer-free future.
Initiative for Cancer Prevention and Early Detection (IPED)
We're identifying how cancers develop and improving the outcomes for all cancer patients by advancing new early detection and prevention approaches that address the limitations of current methods.
Center for Immuno-oncology (CIO)
Immuno-oncology is a new and exciting field of cancer research that focuses on harnessing the power of human-made biological compounds and modified cells to help the patient’s own immune system fight cancer.
Initiative for Molecular and Genomic Evaluation of Cancer (IMGEC)
Through the analysis of genetic, molecular, medical, and health data IMGEC is advancing the knowledge and understanding of how cancers evade the immune system. In building a shared database of knowledge we’re able to collaborate with partners across industry, academia, and communities on the development of new approaches to treating cancer.
At PARC we have built wet and dry lab facilities to facilitate a new infrastructure for collecting, managing, and making specimens and data available to collaborators within industry and the larger research ecosystem. Our wet lab handles specimen preparation and storage, while the dry lab integrates data to create a deeply comprehensive, and accessible database for health research.
