Empowering the body’s immune system to defend against cancer through advanced translational research and collaborative clinical studies.
Overview
At the forefront of cancer treatment innovation, The Center for Immuno-oncology is advancing the use of the immune system to revolutionize the treatment of cancer. Our aim is not just to shrink but to potentially cure cancers by leveraging the body’s natural defenses through cutting-edge immunotherapies.
The immune system provides our bodies with the best defense against threats. By using innate and adaptive branches working together, the immune system forms abarrier against disease. Immunotherapies enhance this natural system to improve cancer detection and treatment, especially for patients where traditional therapies have failed.
Innovative immunotherapy approaches are offering patients multiple ways to enhance the body’s immune system. By using different methods to boost immune response, these therapies improve cancer detection and treatment. Collectively, they provide new, personalized options for patients, particularly those for whom traditional treatments have been ineffective, advancing the overall effectiveness and accessibility of cancer care.
Our partnerships drive progress in immunotherapy by turning research into real-world solutions. Through clinical trials at the Swedish Cancer Institute, we test new therapies, improve safety, and expand access, bringing cutting-edge treatments to patients.
